Project Overview We were approached by Southern Cone Quintet to capture, mix and master the audio for their promotional film to launch the group. The brief was to use subtle mixing whilst maintaining sound quality. We based the capture around a main pair of Neumann KM140’s and instrument mounted DPA 4099’s.
Choral recording is an really important part of what we do at The Audio Project and we were thrilled to be asked to record two choral works by Elliot Corner.
In November 2013, we recorded Haydn Lo Speziale in ambisonics and surround sound. The main purpose of the recording was to compare various methods for capturing 3d audio and we had the good fortune to work with the fantastic Retrospect Ensemble conducted by Justin Doyle.
We were delighted to be asked by a long standing client, Meridian Brass, to produce a session recording several works. The session took place in St John’s Wood Roman Catholic Church which has a pleasant acoustic for brass recording. The track below is a fanfare by Jon Heeley composed for the 80th Birthday of Ursula […]
We were asked to produce and deliver a two hour live stream paying homage to the 1980’s show After Dark. The discussion was about failure in the arts and featured several leading minds from the arts industry.
We provided the full live streaming infrastructure from camera to custom player for this amazing performance by Trinity Laban’s professional dance company Transitions.
We were very excited to be asked to produce a performance video for long time friends Old Hat Jazz Band. The decision was made to go with a clean, old fashioned studio look, to tie in with the style of the music. We tried to emulate a live jazz record sound in the audio recording […]
We provided crew and equipment to capture Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance’s String Ensemble performing ‘The Sinking of The Titanic’

We worked with Lucy to produce two short videos, the first examining whether young scots were voting with their head or hearts and the second asking […]
We recorded acts on the mainstage at Brainchild Festival for a web film production entitled ‘The Current’ which aims to bring new undiscovered music to music lovers in the form of recorded live performances and interviews.
